Although the region where the country stands currently has an historical history, the emergence on the Saudi dynasty commenced in central Arabia in 1744. That year, Muhammad ibn Saud, the ruler in the town of Advertisement-Dir'iyyah in the vicinity of Riyadh, joined forces having a cleric, Muhammad ibn Abd-al-Wahhab, to make a new political entity.
